We offer flexible booking adjustments, meaning we closely monitor weather conditions and solar activity. If necessary, we can reschedule your Northern Lights tour in Rovaniemi (based on availability) to a night with better conditions, or cancel it with a 100% refund.
 

Additionally, we offer a Money-Back Guarantee: If we head out and the Northern Lights cannot be captured by the camera, you’ll receive a refund. We only retain €50 per person to cover operational costs.

How Aurora Photography Expedition Works:

Duration: from 3 to 10 hr

(tour duration varies based on weather conditions and Northern Lights activity)
 

Departure: any time between 17:00 - 22:00

Weather conditions and cloud coverage can be unpredictable sometimes and may change rapidly within a single day. We will monitor regional weather conditions and solar wind data throughout the day to determine the best time and location for departure.

Departure times are scheduled between 17:00 and 22:00. On the day of your tour, we will contact you via phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, Line or WeChat to provide important updates and the exact pick-up time. Therefore, it is essential to provide us with valid contact information.

We will begin by picking you up from your accommodation or hotel. Once in the vehicle, we will discuss the conditions and inform you of our route and destination for the night. After a brief orientation, we will drive you away from city lights to a location with the highest probability of seeing the Northern Lights.

In the event of cloudy weather conditions, we will relocate to increase our chances of finding a gap in the clouds to observe the Northern Lights. If the Northern Lights start to appear, we will remain at the location and let nature's magic unfold, rather than risk missing the chance to witness the magic shown by continuing to drive.
 

While waiting for the Northern Lights, you can enjoy the tranquility of the Arctic landscape and steaming hot drinks. Once the lights appear, we'll begin capturing your portrait with the Northern Lights as a backdrop using professional photography equipment.

  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 2 days or less before the event

  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 0% if booking is cancelled 999 days or less before the event

  • A minimum of 2 paying adult participants is required for the trip to operate

  • It is essential to provide accurate contact details to receive timely updates on your tour pick-up time based on Northern Lights data

  • Remember to bring your passport in case of border control

  • We reserve the right to cancel the tour with a full refund or to reschedule for another night (based on availability) if the Northern Lights data and weather prediction is unfavorable

  • The length of the tour may change based on weather conditions and Northern Lights activities

  • The intensity and colors of the Northern Lights can vary each night as they are a natural phenomenon

  • You will receive only the processed photos; raw files will not be included
